Brant Avenue PS will be flying the Pride flag for the month of June. Our schools are diverse, vibrant places of learning. During Pride Month and every month we take intentional steps to ensure all students know they belong. That includes raising the Pride flag, affirming student identities in classrooms, and fostering inclusive, joyful celebrations that reflect the diversity of our communities. In addition to Pride month, our school district is committed to supporting and celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community throughout the whole year. For more information, visit the school board website at https://www.ugdsb.ca/page/2slgbtqia-inclusion-in-the-ugdsb
There are many events and class schedule changes in June. Please check the school calendar on the website and connect with your child’s teacher for details.
No school for students on Friday, June 6th due to the PA Day. For your information, Portables 2 & 3 will be removed on the June 6th PA Day. That week carpenters will be out to remove skirting and the portables will be surrounded with snow fence. Once the portables are removed the area will have snow fence as the grass underneath is dead and it will be a muddy mess. Please remind your children to stay out of the area before and after school. There is an asphalt and grading project planned for the summer time.
