Details:

Grade 8 Reach-Ahead:

·      Grade 8 students may earn a high school credit before entering secondary school in September.  Online learning (asynchronous) courses run from July 2 - 25. 

·      Two specialized program options are offered for in-person learning in Guelph pending sufficient enrollment.

For summer school 2025:

·      GLS 1O – Learning Strategies: Skills for Success in Secondary School (1 credit), Civics (CHV 20) and Careers (GLC 20) will be offered, in English only, via online learning only

o   CHV2O and GLC2O are half credits, students must enrol in both 

·      GLE 1O – Learning Strategies: Skills for Success in Secondary School (1 credit) is also offered, in English only, via online learning

o   This course is specifically designed for students who have an IEP and who need support to reach provincial standards in literacy and numeracy skills to be prepared for Gr. 9 de-streamed programs. Parents/caregivers will be encouraged to discuss enrollment with school teams prior to registering.

·      TAS 1O – Exploring Technologies (1 credit) is being offered on site at College Heights Secondary School - transportation not provided

·      PAI 1O – Girl Grit – Small Group Activities (1 credit) is being offered onsite in Guelph - transportation not provided
