A message from School Council:
Dear Paisley Road Parents,

We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful winter break with family and friends.

Our next round of pizza days starts this Thursday, January 8th, and we're looking for some volunteers to handle the pizza distribution at the second nutrition break for the next three months. If you have a valid vulnerable sector check and are available for about an hour on Thursday(s) starting at 12:30, we'd love it if you could sign up at the link below for as many days as you're available to distribute pizza to the classrooms.

https://signup.com/go/qDzCxSi

Thanks everyone for your continued support of school council and our efforts to make Paisley Road a great place for our kids to learn and grow.

Sincerely,
Your School Council

A yellow graphic that says coping with stress
Some stress can motivate us to complete things and help us at times. Too much stress, on the other hand, can be problematic and have overall negative impacts on our thinking, our bodies and our performance.
Start conversations about what stress is and how it feels.
When you’re overwhelmed, try naming your feelings and explaining the strategy you’re using to cope.
Activity: Take three slow, deep breaths from the lower belly. Inhale through the nose and exhale slowly through the mouth. Try this before meals, at bedtime, or before activities that might feel stressful.
Championing Health and Well being: Did you know? According to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) prolonged stress increases the risk of mental-health issues like anxiety or depression, and physical problems such as headaches, muscle tension, digestive issues, fatigue, sleep problems, and even cardiovascular risks (2025)

Join EQAO for a free live webinar on November 19, 2025, at 6:00 pm where EQAO staff will discuss math questions that Ontario students encounter when they participate in Ontario’s large-scale assessments. These assessments are taken by all Ontario students in Grades 3, 6 and 9. During the webinar, EQAO staff will show how these math questions help assess the skills students are learning in their math classes. Staff will also share valuable insights from the past three years of assessment results, which can help caregivers support their children’s math learning. The registration link can be found on our School Website.
