Welcome Paisley Families!

We are excited to share that the school year is off to a smooth and successful start. Our students have settled in wonderfully, and learning is already underway across our classrooms.

To help you stay connected, our School Website is updated regularly and serves as a one-stop hub for important school information. We encourage families to check the website weekly for updates, reminders, and upcoming events.

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we ask families to support our “Litter-Less Lunches” initiative by packing food in reusable containers whenever possible. By reducing single-use plastics and disposable items, we can work together to lessen waste and protect our environment.

Thank you for supporting our efforts to build a greener future and to instill these important values in our students. If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We appreciate your continued support and partnership!

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! First day of school is Wednesday Sept. 3, 2025

Safe Access to School is Here at Paisley!!

The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is committed to providing a safe, secure learning and working environment for students, staff, and visitors.  Over the next couple of years all elementary schools are upgrading their door access systems and will consistently have their exterior doors locked during the school day.

I am writing to let you know that this board wide project of upgrading the system used to access elementary school sites across the district is coming now live at Paisley Road Public School.

Parents, guardians, volunteers are as always welcome to attend the school as per usual, however will need use the intercom  at the entrance to contact the office prior to having the doors opened.   All visitors to schools are still required to sign in at the school’s main office and wear a badge/sticker identifying them as a visitor to the school once signed in.

If you would like additional information please see the link below which will take you to the board’s website and to Policy / Procedures 322 that outlines the management of access to schools sites across the system: https://www.ugdsb.ca/o/ugdsb/page/policy-322-safe-operation-of-schools-and-board-sites

Thank you for your patience and understanding and we look forward to welcoming you the next time you are at the school!

First Day Procedures
On Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 8:40 am the following will happen:

Grade 1-6 students will go to the tarmac area of the school where all staff will be waiting (bus students will be directed by staff to the tarmac area of the school). Large signs will be posted with grades (1-6). Grade 1-6 students will stand near their grade sign and listen for their name to be called by the teacher.

**It is imperative that once students are at their grade sign that parents say goodbye and remove themselves from the area so that we can support students in getting to the correct locations.

Kindergarten students will go to the kindergarten yard. Kindergarten educators will gather their students and take them to the correct class. Kindergarten students arriving by bus will be guided by Ms. Clark to the Kindergarten yard.

2. Grade 1-6 students will find their grade poster and stand close to the sign.

3. When the bell rings, teachers will call out their student's name and take their students into the school.

4. Staff members without classes will remain on the tarmac and kindergarten area and collect any students who did not go in with a class. They will help these students get into a class.

If it’s raining… Primary and Junior students will be directed to the gym where classes will be posted and teachers will be available to direct students.

The Insuremykids Program is offered through Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada and the Studyinsured Program is underwritten by Certain Lloyds’s Underwriters through AON Insurance.
Each program offers a variety of options, including family rates at affordable prices. The cost must be paid by the parent or guardian. Paper copies of the application are no longer available. Purchase is done directly on line or by contacting the Provider:
