Truth & Reconcilation Week

Wellington Heights is recognizing Truth & Reconciliation Week across Canada from September 22-26.  This week is a five-day period of learning, reflection, and action that culminates in the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation (also known as Orange Shirt Day) on September 30th.  This week offers educational opportunities to honour Indigenous history, cultures, and languages, and to acknowledge the lasting impacts of the residential school system.  Students can access virtual events and a wealth of online resources at the link posted on our school website:

.  Teachers are also integrating additional activities into their classroom activities this week as well in order to foster understanding and to support the reconciliation journey.  Wolverines are encouraged to wear something orange on Tuesday, September 30th to show support for Orange Shirt Day.
