Immunization

For any Wolverine students still requiring immunization updates this year, please note that Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will be hosting an immunization clinic in Palmerston on Wednesday, January 28th from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Minto Rural Health Centre located at 500 Whites Road, Palmerston.  Students may also book an appointment at the WDGPH office in Fergus to get immunized.  To book an appointment for the clinic in Palmerston or for the Public Health office in Fergus, please click on this link:  www.wdgpublichealth.ca/

appointments or call Public Health at 1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006.

Students can also meet requirements by getting immunized through their doctors, or at another Public Health clinic.  Students wanting an exemption for immunization will need to complete several steps (i.e. watch a video, complete a survey, complete a form and get it notarized by a lawyer, and submit the documents electronically to WDGPH). More details are outlined on the Public Health website at this link:  https://

vaccination.

Once students have been immunized or fulfilled requirements, families must report it to Public Health by calling 1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006 in order to have their child removed from the list.  Families are also encouraged to let Principal Brent Bloch know by email at brent.bloch@ugdsb.on.ca or by phone at 519-323-3430 ext. 223 when requirements have been met.

Students who do not fulfill requirements for immunization by FEBRUARY 6th, 2026, will be suspended from school at the direction of Public Health until requirements are met.

Families can reach out directly to Public Health if there are any questions.  Please note that Wellington Heights will continue to share information and follow up with students and families as a way of supporting our Wolverines through this process before the deadline in order to avoid suspending any students from school if possible.
