Wellington Heights Grade 10 student, Declan Lisk, won 1st place in the Junior Boys 100 m hurdles at the CWOSSA championships held May 20-21 at Jacob Hespeler Secondary School in Cambridge.  Lisk set a new school record by running the 100m hurdles 14.44 seconds at CWOSSA, and he will move on to compete at the OFSAA West Regional Track and Field Championships at Jacob Hespeler SS on May 28 - 29, 2026.  Lisk also competed in the Junior Boys 300 m hurdles where he finished 3rd with a time of 41.97 seconds, and in the Junior Boys long jump where he came in 6th with his jump of 5.30 m.

Grade 10 Wellington Heights student, Justin Obach also competed at CWOSSA in Junior Boys javelin where he threw 24.02 m and finished in 16th place.

At the District 4 Track and Field Championships held May 11-12 at the University of Guelph, the Wellington Heights track and field team performed very well.  Declan List placed 1st in Junior Boys long jump, setting a new school record of 5.77 m.  Justin Obach placed 2nd in Junior Boys javelin, and Liam Nelson had a top 5 finish in Junior Boys discus.
