The Wellington Heights Golf Team won the District 4 Championship on Wednesday, September 30th at Pike Lake Golf Course near Clifford. The team composed of C. McDonald, R. Corley, C. Hornibrook, and N. Cummings combined to defeat the golf team from Norwell by one stroke. This is the second consecutive year that WHSS has won the District 4 Golf Championship.

The other Wellington Heights foursome included B. Gagnon, G. Moyer, G. Young, and L. Aitken, who finished 8th as a team in the tournament.

C. McDonald had the overall best score of the District 4 tournament with a 72 to take home 1st place in the individual scores. B. Gagnon had the second best score for Wellington Heights at 83, and finished 10th overall in the individual competition.

The team travelled to Victoria Park East Golf Club on October 5th for the CWOSSA Boys Golf Championship, and battled cool, windy conditions for nearly six hours and finished 13th overall out of 30 teams that competed. C. McDonald had the best score once again for the Wolverines and finished tied for 5th overall in a field of over 130 golfers.
