Allan and Claudia Brown, from the Jonathan Brown Foundation, were at Wellington Heights on Thursday, May 22nd to present a cheque for $15,000 to Grade 10 student, John Ray, to go towards the purchase of a new accessible van for John and his family. The Browns heard about John's campaign through CBC News and were inspired to make a contribution to John's cause. The Browns created the Jonathan Brown Foundation in memory of their son, Jonathan Brown, who passed away at a very young age due to cancer. The Foundation plays a pivotal role in raising awareness about cancer affecting young people and generating financial support for services that directly impact these young people and their families. John's cause connected with the Browns as Jonathan also experienced accessibility issues during his illness.
