Rowan’s Law Day

Today is Rowan’s Law Day…a day marked in memory of Rowan Stringer; who died after multiple concussions in 2013. This day is to remember her, and inform others of the signs and symptoms of concussions within our schools.

After school Karate program

Starting Sept. 26th, there will be an $8/class Karate program running out of the OCPS gym on Thursdays.

No more plastic spoons given out

In an effort to continue our commitment as an eco-school,  in October we will no longer be giving out plastic spoons to students at lunch. Students are encouraged to bring reusable spoons from home in their lunch and take these back home at the end of the day for reuse.

Parents/guardians are responsible for expenses related to student injuries on and off school premises during school activities.  Accidents can and do happen and the costs involved might not be fully covered by Provincial Health Care or employer group insurance plans.
