Kindergarten Grad & Last Week Reminders!
Congratulations to our kindergarten grads as they celebrated on Friday. Thank you to all parents and loved ones who were able to come and celebrate with us.
We are looking forward to our grade 8 graduation that is taking place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 27th, 2017. A group picture will be taken at 645pm and the ceremony starts promptly at 7pm.
It is hard to believe, but the last week is upon us. Here are a few reminders going forward:
- The yard is incredibly wet. Please pack ‘oops’ clothes with your child (ren) just in case they fall in a puddle or worse, the mud. We’ve had to make a few phone calls home lately about this and want to avoid children missing end of the year activities if we can.
- CMES will be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday on the last day of school, Thursday, June 29th, 2017. Please wear red and white and/or your best Canada wear to help celebrate.
- The CMES Perseverance and last day assembly will be held on Thursday, June 29th in our Library Learning Commons so renovation work can be started in the gym. The grade 4-8 assembly will take place at 9:00 AM and the K – 3 assembly will take place at 11am. Parents are welcome, but seating may be tight. We apologize for this inconvenience due to our renovations.
- If your child(ren) have medication in our office, please remember to pick it up before the end of the day on Friday (PD Day). Our building will closed after Friday, to accommodate the large renovation that will be taking place at CMES over the summer.
- Report cards go home on Wednesday, June 28th. Please take a few moments to review it and return the parent and student signature portion of the report card, if you wish by Thursday, the last day of school.
- Just a reminder that Friday, June 30th, 2017 is a PD day for students. There will be no school for students.
- Finally, thank you. We are looking forward to a terrific last week with the students.
