From the Principal’s Desk – December 11, 2023

Posted December 11, 2023

Hello Arbour Vista families,

It’s hard to believe that the winter break is right around the corner! For those of you with travel plans, please ensure that student absences are communicated directly to the office. While it is great to inform your child’s teacher, it is most important to report the absence to the office. This helps us to ensure the safety of all our students, and limits us from disturbing you with unnecessary calls.  Thank you in advance  for your assistance with this.

UGDSB December Communications Newsletter

The December Communications Newsletter is out! This is the monthly public-facing newsletter from the UGDSB communications department.  In this month’s issue we have information about:

  • Where to get updates on inclement weather
  • Information for families about students transitioning to high school
  • Policy feedback opportunities
  • And more!

Grade 8 Leadership Team

The Grade 8 Leadership Team has been hard at work, planning Spirit Days for all Arbour Vista students. They have spent many breaks generating ideas and ensuring that these ideas align with the UGDSB established guidelines and protocols. Thank you all, for your hard work and leadership.

Next week they have decided we will have Backwards Day on Dec 15th. We look forward to seeing the creativity of students (and parents) shine.
