Cross Country Skiing Update, Olympic Play Day Postponed, and Katie Weatherston at CMES!

Posted February 21, 2018

Cross Country Skiing Update:

Sadly, we received notification today from the cross country ski club that they have lost all of their snow. At this point in time, all cross country is postponed until we hear from the ski club. If no new dates can be scheduled, we will issue refunds to parents.

Olympic Play day Postponed:
Considering the lack of snow and the condition of our school field, we have had to postpone play day until March 2nd. Please hold thermos until next week, but please continue to send in any additional supplies that we listed in our previous email and school website post. Thank you.

Today, CMES students were treated to a visit from 2006 Women’s Hockey Gold Medalist, Katie Weatherston. Katie shared with us the importance of having long and short term goals that are SMART. She also talked with us about overcoming obstacles and talked about the obstacles that she over came to represent Canada at world and Olympic level in women’s hockey.  Katie shared with us her Olympic experiences and inspired us all to never give up. Go Canada go!
