Crazy Hair Day on the 28th, Play Date Reminders, and Preparing For Dance A Thon
To celebrate the last day of February, we will be having crazy hair day on the 28th. Show your wacky side!
As our rescheduled Olympic play date approaches on Friday the 2nd, we are asking parents to help us with the following:
- Please send in a small thermos with your child, labelled with their name before Friday morning. Hot chocolate will be prepared and added to the thermos, so that your child can enjoy it at one point during the afternoon. We are hoping to keep waste to a minimum at our hot chocolate station. So please send in a thermos if you have one. All thermos will be returned by the end of the afternoon.
- The committee needs a number of small items to keep costs low for the play day. If you have the following, could you please send the items into Mrs. Papavasiliou (PapaV) in the office: empty toilet paper rolls, the small lids off the squeezable yogurts and apple sauces, 4L milk jugs (emptied and cleaned), and mini hockey sticks (labelled with your child’s name so they can be returned). If you have miracle bubbles at home and would like to donate them to CMES, please send them in as well.
We are hopeful that our play date will go ahead as planned, however, we are watching the weather carefully. Our alternate, alternate play date is March 9th in the afternoon. No snow, icy fields, and soft fields would all be reasons why we would need to move the play date to the 9th of March. We will make a call on Thursday and inform parents then. Thank you for your support.
