Spirit Day on Monday, Earth Week, and Toonie Tuesday (May 1ST)
Spirit Day on Monday:
On Monday, let’s cheer on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors as they continue their play off runs. Wear a jersey to school, blue/ white, or red/black. Go Leafs go! We are the North!
Earth Week:
Earth Week is next week. Today students learned that our Green Machine, Eco Club is challenging CMES students and staff to be more Earth friendly. Students learned if their class won the daily challenges next week, that they would win an afternoon of games and an ice cream party.
To win classes must:
-Bring a reusable water bottle on Monday
-Walk to School on Tuesday
-Have all the classroom waste sorted correctly on Wednesday
-Bring a litter less lunch on Thursday
-Have an organics only ( that is food waste and brown paper towl) compost bin on Friday.

Toonie Tuesday:
On Tuesday May 1, 2018 we are collecting Toonies to help support the Upper Grand Learning Foundation’s Free to Achieve fund. This is a board wide fund to help students access programs, services or items they need to achieve success at school. Please consider donating a Toonie if you can. You can donate through School Cash Online. It will be posted closer to the date.
