CMES’s New Acting Principal….
Miss Olivia was our principal for a day on Friday. Miss Olivia won this opportunity by raising money for our School Dance  A Thon. Miss Olivia made announcements, did a school safety walk, and visited classrooms. She’s even thinking of changing a few school rules! A job well done Olivia!

Save The Date! …. Going Green in The Meadows
Please mark Wednesday May 9th (6:00 pm to 7:30 pm) in your calendars as Credit Meadows School Council hosts our Spring PRO Grant event. This year the theme is Going Green in the Meadows. There will be different stations throughout the school which tie into our theme of nature and environment.
The Green Machine will be featured that night and Dufferin Waste Management will be bringing their compost worms! Other stations involve planting your own seeds, crafts with items from nature and other activities.
We do need your help! If you have any T-Shirts that you are planning on parting with we are looking for donations for one of our stations. Please send in T-shirts that have been washed and are stain and rip free (marked to the attention of School Council). Thank you in advance!
Looking forward to seeing you on May 9th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Sincerely, School Council

Blue Spruce Celebrations in the Library Learning Commons

It’s that time of year again! All students in Kindergarten to grade 2, including the grade 3 students in Mrs. Popovic’s class, have enjoyed the ten nominated stories for this year’s Blue Spruce reading program. It’s time to celebrate and vote.

On each class’ special day, students will dress in blue, share some yummy treats, play some games and of course vote for their favourite book! Students across Ontario are voting, and this year’s winner will be announced in late May.

If you would like to send along a nut-free treat to share at your child’s party, your help is appreciated. Some parents choose to make or send something blue!

The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday April 24:

Mrs. Schnieders/Ms. Dernoga

Mrs. Popovic

Thursday April 26:

Mr. Barron

Mrs. Ecclestone

Mrs. Thomson/Mrs. Young

Mrs. Ste-Croix/Mrs. Anthony

Mr. Vickery

Monday April 30

Thank you in advance for reminding your child to dress in blue, and also for sending in a peanut-free treat if you wish.

Ms. Roberts, Teacher-Librarian
