Welcome to Our New Principal and Happy Holidays!

Posted December 16, 2020

Dear Parents & Guardians,

My journey at Credit Meadows is coming to a close and what an amazing place to finish out a career that I absolutely love and cherish! Parents/guardians, thank you for the many ways you have supported this school and most importantly your children, our students. It has been a pleasure to have been a part of your child’s education.

The first half of the school year has gone by quickly with many opportunities provided for our students to learn new concepts and to become reacquainted with their peer group.
Thank you to all parents and guardians who were able to attend the Progress Report Interviews virtually. It was a great opportunity for parents/guardians and teachers to meet and discuss your child’s progress, share highlights of your child’s strengths and areas to improve upon.

Last night, the Upper Grand District Board announced the new Principal for Credit Meadows Elementary School. A warm CMES welcome goes out to our new principal, Ms. Dianna Secord. Ms. Secord is excited to be coming to Credit Meadows and getting to know her new students and families. She will be a wonderful addition to our Credit Meadows Community. She will be sending out a video to our students to introduce herself and to say hello. She is looking forward to a great year of working and learning together with our students and getting to know our CMES families. Ms. Secord, Ms. Masterson and I will be meeting to help with the transition to CMES. Ms. Secord will send out a letter of introduction in the New Year. Ms. Secord, we wish you all the best and welcome to the Meadows!

We are looking forward to time with family as the holiday season will soon be here. The school will be closed from December 21, 2020 until January 1, 2021 for the Christmas Holidays. The first day of classes for our Credit Meadows students will be on Monday, January 4, 2021 (Day 2).

On behalf of the staff at Credit Meadows Elementary School, we want to say thank you to our parent community for the many ways you support your children. Have a restful, fun holiday season with family. Wishing you all a Happy Holiday and a joyous New Year!

Sincerely,
Ms. Lagundzija-deFreitas (P) & Ms. Masterson (VP)
