A Few End-of-Year Items

Hello everyone.

I am feeling sadder every day as I realize that this wonderful school year is coming to an end … I have certainly enjoyed my interactions with you, but am also hoping that next year has fewer restrictions. We will need to wait to find that out.

I know that staff will have been in touch with you about end-of-year procedures. Feel free to reach out to them with any questions you might have. I am sending this as a support to what they are already doing with you.

Following are a few items to remember as we get ready to finish up this school year:

  • Tech, by order of the Board, is to be returned after June 29th. I would like them returned by Thursday, June 30th, but Friday is fine, too (I don’t intend to have any fireworks on that day…). I will be at the school to take them from you. I’ll have a table at the front of the school to receive Chromebooks, etc.. I am usually here by 7:30 or so and can stay later for folks whose schedules make it difficult to get here.
  • Report cards do not need to be signed and returned to the school this year.
  • However, if someone wants to return things earlier, your child’s teacher will arrange a time on Monday or Tuesday to return books and technology and/or pick up personal items that may have been left at the school.
  • On Monday and Tuesday students will participate in asynchronous learning to allow staff to work in classes, and complete required paperwork.
  • I am sure you are wondering what the 2021-2022 school year will look like. We are unsure at this time. It will probably be August before Public Health makes any decisions about class configurations, in-person learning, etc. Once that is done, the Board will send out protocols to us. After we receive that information, I will communicate with you via email, a posting on our website and also on the Eramosa Parent Facebook page.
