Some Reminders

Posted November 16, 2021

Hello everyone.

It has been a busy time.  I thought that an email outlining a few items might be in order.

  • Our Remembrance Day Assembly was a great success!  All classes participated in our virtual service.  We had a few internet issues, but the staff and students did an excellent job of recognizing this important day.  We are unable to share it with you in order to comply with privacy requirements.  However, we are looking forward to a new and improved virtual assembly to mark the festive season.  A big thanks goes to Mrs. Semanyk who led us in our first virtual assembly and has volunteered for the next one!
  • Just a reminder that Lifetouch orders are due online or to the school tomorrow, November 17.  Students who were absent or those wishing for a retake should let their child’s teacher know or return the original proofs to their teacher and they will be added to the list of retakes to be done on November 25
  • Morning supervision begins at 8:10 am.  For safety reasons, please do not leave your children unattended on the school property before then.
  • Thank you to those who supported our school through the purchase of items at our virtual Scholastic Book Fair.  As soon as items arrive at the school, we will be in touch.
  • There will be a letter coming home today, November 16, that includes the bottom portion of the progress report.  Please return it to school once you have logged in to view your child’s report.
  • Remember to sign up for your interview time.  A form with instructions came home on Monday for you.
  • School Council (EPSAC) is hosting a wreath making fundraiser.  View details and purchase on school cash online.
  • This year, we are hoping to help others in our community by having Five Days of Giving.  From December 6 to 10, we will be collecting items to help support the East Wellington Community Services and Hope House.  A flyer with more information will be coming home on Thursday, November 18.
  • From December 13 to 17, we will be celebrating Winter Festivity Week.  A complete list will be coming home on Thursday.

Best regards,

Paul Tribe, Principal
