Pride Month

Posted May 21, 2024

In the month of June, Upper Grand District School Board will be celebrating Pride month.  During that time, James McQueen will join with all schools across Upper Grand to display the Pride flag duing that month in accordance with our Display of Flags policy.

We fly the Pride flag to show our support and acceptance and to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.  It signals that our schools are committed to building safe spaces for everyone.  It also aligns with our Vision Statement and Guiding Principles of Inclusion, Policy 503 and 504, the Ontario Human Rights Code, student and staff well-being and our UGDSB Equity Plan.

To read further about how Upper Grand is supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Community, you can find more information here:  2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion in the UGDSB.  If you have questions specific to James McQueen, please reach out to Mrs. Dyer in the office.
