Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week and November’s Umbrella Skill – Kindness
Dear John Black PS Families,
This week is Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month. Our Junior Bears, Student Council and GSA have been busy preparing for this week with each day having a theme and act of kindness.
MONDAY- RAINBOW DAY, Random Act Of Kindness Day – Spread some kindness (Secretly!:)
TUESDAY- UNIQUE SOCK DAY, Hello Tuesday! Find someone new and say hello. Chat to see if you have anything in common.
WEDNESDAY- PINK SHIRT DAY, Smile Wednesday! Smiles are contagious. Smile at 5 people today.
THURSDAY- COMFY COZY DAY, Thankful Thursday! Write a thank-you note to someone.
FRIDAY- Is a PA Day – No School but you can still spread kindness because nice words are free! Compliment at least 5 people today.
Toonie Tuesday for the Freedom to Achieve Fund: The Upper Grand Learning Foundation appreciates all that schools do to help students, and we would appreciate any support your school can provide for our Freedom to Achieve fund. The Freedom to Achieve fund support schools with special Equity requests and request for special equipment or services that are beyond a parent or school budget. Parents can donate through School Cash Online.
