JD Three – Week of November 13 – 17

Posted November 10, 2023

1) Why Survey
Students in Grade 4-8 will be completing the Why Survey in their class between November 10 and November 24th
The purpose of the Well-being Health and Youth (WHY) Surveys is to collect information from youth, parents, and school staff about youth health and well-being. These surveys will identify issues that could be addressed by schools, school boards, and local service providers. The information can be used to inform planning decisions, including Board Improvement Plans.

2) Progress Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews
You will be able to login and view your child’s progress report and sign up for parent teacher interviews on Thursday November 16th.

3) Grade 7 Vaccinations
Hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Meningococcal immunizations are provided at no cost to Grade 7 students annually through the school-based immunization program. If your child is in Grade 7 this school year, they are eligible to receive these vaccines or complete their vaccines series if it has already begun. Public Health will be holding a vaccine clinic at the school on November 16th. Consent is required for all children who require the vaccines.
