John McCrae Public School will be proudly welcoming Nathan Skoufis, Guelph native and an acclaimed Martial Arts competitor, to speak to the school next Tuesday, February 20th. Skoufis has travelled all over Canada, the United States and Europe to compete. He is a nineteen time World Champion and 5th Degree Black Belt. Skoufis also became the first ever martial artist to hold both major World Titles in the same year. He has been a member of Team Canada and won international gold medals. Skoufis is an instructor leading seminars and workshops throughout the world while operating his famous studio Guelph Family Martial Arts located here in Guelph. Nathan Skoufis’ presentation to our students will include his story of focus, dedication, respect and perseverance. Skoufis will detail how he overcame obstacles in order to reach his goals in sport and in education. While we are not charging for this event, we are asking that you might consider making a $1.00 donation to cover the cost. Merci beaucoup!
