Pink Day Wednesday February 26th, 2020

Posted February 25, 2020

Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting positive social relationships.

It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of their differences.

On Pink Shirt Day and every day we ask you to Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!

Celebrated annually around the globe, Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, took a stand against homophobic bullying after grade 10 student was harassed and threatened for wearing pink. Since then we’ve been celebrating Pink Shirt Day. Please join tomorrow February 26th, in International Pink Day by wearing Pink or other inclusion or anti-bullying shirts. https://www.pinkshirtday.ca/

Please join us in wearing Pink or any other inclusive/anti-bullying clothes. We look forward to taking a stand together and continue to create a safe and inclusive environment at Ken Danby!
