Exploring Maps of the World
We have been exploring different world maps. Some maps make parts of our world appear much larger than they really are in relation to other places. We are looking at maps that don’t have Europe in the centre as well and talking about why we are used to looking at a world map that has the Atlantic in the middle and not the Pacific. Or some other place on our round world. We are looking at our underlying assumptions and unlearning a few things!
