Thanks to the soldiers
Who risked their lives in battle
Helping our country
Thanks to the people
Both past and present who have
Brought peace to our land
Just take two minutes
To remember all of those
Who helped us be safe
Safe in our cities
Safe and happy in our homes
Safe in Canada
They brought us freedom
For which we are so grateful
True north strong and free
We cannot forget
All the courageous people
Who gave up their lives
