NDSS Student Parking Update – Important Information
As we prepare for the new school year, please note that the student parking lot will be closed during the first week of school while parking applications are processed and permits are prepared.
Students who require parking during the first week may use available parking at the arena or permitted areas on nearby side streets. Please be mindful of all posted parking signs, restrictions, and local regulations. Students and families are responsible for ensuring that vehicles are parked legally and safely. Please allow extra time for parking and be respectful of residents, businesses, pedestrians, and other road users in the area.
The student parking application is available on the school website and is attached below. Students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.
NDSS Student Parking Lot Application 2026-2027
Parking permits will be issued during the first week of school, and student parking will be available beginning Monday, September 14, 2026. Students issued a parking pass will be called to the office to pick up an issued parking permit.
Student Safety & Parking Expectations
Student safety is our priority. With pedestrian traffic around the parking lot and sports field, it is essential that student drivers exercise caution and demonstrate responsible behaviour at all times.
Students driving on school property are expected to:
Drive slowly and cautiously.
Yield to pedestrians and remain alert to increased foot traffic.
Follow all posted signs, traffic patterns, and staff directions.
Park only in the assigned designated student parking spot.
Refrain from distracted driving, including cell phone use.
Respect other vehicles, school property, students, staff, visitors and neighbours.
Follow school expectations regarding safe and respectful conduct.
Student parking is a privilege and comes with the responsibility to drive safely and respectfully. Unsafe or inappropriate driving or behaviour may result in the loss of parking privileges and/or school consequences.
