1) Field Trip Volunteers
Interested in attending a Field Trip this year? You’ll need a police check and volunteer form. Get it out of the way now so you’ll be ready when that blue permission form comes home! While Mrs. Peet is away, you can email your requests to Ms. Jones at [email protected]
2) Hot Lunches are making a triumphant return!
Ponsonby Public School Council has been working hard to get everything in place to be able to offer students an additional hot lunch available for purchase through school cash online once a month. We need your help to make it happen.
Raise your hand, join the Ponsonby School Community and we can all enjoy one less packed lunch.
Hot Lunch Coordinator (1 or 2 positions, opportunity for a shared position):
- Background check (free, valid for 5 years)
- Food safety online course (cost covered)
- Shopping for ingredients
- Coordinate volunteers on hot lunch day
Hot Lunch Team Members (many hands make light work):
- Background check (free, valid for 5 years)
- Help with hot lunch preparation during the day

- Grade 4, 5, 6 to Green Legacy Tree Nursery – Wednesday, October 4th
- Thanksgiving – Monday, October 9th (no school)
- Picture Day – Tuesday, October 10th
- School Spirit Day – Friday, October 13th
- Cross Country Meet – Tuesday, October 17th
- School Council Family Movie Night – Friday, October 20th
- Junior Soccer Tournament – Wednesday, October 25th
- PD Day – Friday, October 27th (no school for students)
