Oct 3rd update
Good morning Rockwood families,
It is a chilly start to Fall!
Tomorrow Oct 4th is our photo day! We will be starting with Gr 7/8 students as they also have the cross country meet tomorrow after first break. Class photos will be done outside weather permitting.
This week our milk program starts and pizza starts on Thursday. School council will also be offering slices for sale at $2.50 a slice based on limited availability in the front foyer. Please pack a lunch in case there isn’t enough pizza as this is a new offering and we want to see how many students purchase pizza.
A reminder to please complete the student census if you haven’t already to help inform school practice.
Grade 8 students have the option to purchase a grad hoodie on schoolcashonline.com and today is the last day to purchase. There is also a tree top trekking trip for grade 8’s available on schoolcashonline.com and the trip is Oct 31st. Please contact the school if there are any financial barriers as we want all students to be included and ensure equity of access.
There is a Guelph storm game on Friday, Oct 28th and our Grade 6-8 choir will be singing our national anthem! Families can purchased tickets and a choir music shirt if interested.
Grade 7 immunization is on Oct 17th. The consent form has been emailed. If you need a hard copy, please contact the school.
A reminder that Monday, Oct 10th is thanksgiving and there is no school for students. We wish all families a Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
