Good morning,

We hope you had an enjoyable March Break! Happy first day of Spring and we hope to have some nicer Spring weather soon!

On March 21, we will be recognizing the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. As a community we have a responsibility to address racism and work to dismantle it.  We continue to have ongoing conversation and teaching about anti racism in classrooms. All students need to feel safe, respected and included. Please see our poster display for inclusion when you enter the school created by the GSA team under the direction of Mrs. McCabe.

Mar 21st is also when some families around the world celebrate the festival of Navroz (Nowruz), which marks the first day of spring and the beginning of a new year! Students are encouraged to wear bright colours to celebrate Spring tomorrow!

Manie Musicale is being taught to all students in grades 4-8 Core French and French immersion students. They are learning about BIPOC French speaking artists around the world and learning about their culture, the lyrics in the song and communicating how the music makes them feel. Students have been enjoying the variety of musicians.

Our readathon forms are due tomorrow and all final payments are due on schoolcashonline.com by tomorrow at 11:59pm.  Thank you for supporting this fundraiser!  So far, we have raised $1714.

Final term pizza and milk orders are due this Friday.
Gr 6 students are attending a trip to Camp Brebeuf on Tuesday, Mar 21st all day.

Gr 8 trip parent information session is Tuesday from 6:00-7:00 in the library.
