Good morning Rockwood families,

Spring is in the air and it looks like a warmer week ahead! We will be having our games lines repainted today including some new features. Thanks to school council and parents for supporting fundraising in order to fund this for our students. Some of the features included are basketball, 4 square, hop scotch, snakes and ladders and more!

This week we have a Jump Rope for Heart kick off assembly on Tuesday to raise awareness for a heart healthy lifestyle. More info to follow. Thanks to Ms. Noel and Mme Rafalowski for organizing this.

Reminder: Please see the attached Parent Workshop on Anti-Black Racism on Tuesday, May 9^th from 6:00-7:30 that will be held at Rockwood Centennial PS. Snacks will be provided by council. Please rsvp by filling out the following link  https://forms.gle/hqprToigtZa3c1Ai7 so we have an idea for numbers by 4pm today. We look forward to learning more together about this important topic. The parent workshop will provide you with information on how to support your children as they learn more about anti-racism. The student presentation will be held on Thursday, May 11^th in the afternoon for grades 6-8 students.

Elementary Summer Lit/Num Parent Flyer – Please see the attached flyer if interested in the Grade 6-8 Literacy / Numeracy summer upgrading program for students.  Gr. 6-7-8 Lit Num Handout for Parents Revised.pdf   If you are wondering if your child would be suitable for this program, please reach out to your child’s teacher. This is for students who are at level 2 in a C range between 60-69 where some extra support would be beneficial.
