Friday, Sept 22 Terry Fox Walk/Run

We are looking forward to our annual Terry Fox walk/run on Friday, Sept 22nd led by our cross country teams.   This year our school has a goal of raising $2,000.00 or $5 a student. The Terry Fox Foundation has been actively raising funds for cancer research since Terry’s original run in 1980. Please donate online at https://schools.terryfox.ca/RockwoodCentennialRockwood or donate through our school cash online, before or after our Run Day. For more information, visit terryfox.org . We will be having a kick off assembly about Terry Fox on Thursday afternoon. Friday we will have our walk through the conservation area. Students are encouraged to wear red!

Cross Country Team: Junior and Intermediate

Thanks to Mrs. Wells, Ms. Smith, Mrs. Clyde and Mme Closs for offering our cross country club for our junior and intermediate students three times a week! What a great way to be active and get outside. All students in the club will be involved with the tournament Oct 3rd and 4th in the Rockwood Conservation area. Parents are welcome to attend and pay a reduced fee.

Our Football tournament is Sept 27th for gr 7/8 students. Thanks to our coaches Mrs. Soper and Mr. Collier for running the football practices after school this month. We had an overwhelming number of students turn out for practices and it was very difficult to select teams. We encourage all students to continue trying out for programs.

You don’t have to identify yourself – just your school – and your message gets sent directly to the school principal for follow-up.  Identity Based Harm Screenshot.png
