Good after Rockwood families,
It is hard to believe we are in our final week before the holidays! We have a busy week ahead with our concert practices.
Tuesday, Dec 19-We have our Daytime Winter Concert at 9am in the gymnasium featuring music classes from Grade 1-6.
Tuesday, Dec 19-We have our Evening Concert beginning at 6:30 pm which includes the Grade 1-5 Choir, Grade 6-8 Choir, Small Ensemble Band and Intermediate Band. Please drop off band members at 6:00pm
Families are welcome to attend either of these concerts. We have been learning about different cultural celebrations around the world on the announcements and in classrooms. Students participated in artistic activities to represent different holidays and you will see these beautiful pieces showcased in our gymnasium for our concert. Families are also welcome to stroll the halls after the morning concert to see our door decorations for a variety of winter celebrations or preview before the evening concert at 6pm.
Thursday, Dec 21st is our final pizza day for this term. We will also have cookies ($1.50) and popcorn ($2) for sale. The new term for pitas and smoothies is Jan 9 and pizza begins Thurs. Jan 11th.
We also encourage families to look at our lost and found which is overflowing! Students will be encouraged to take home their shoes over the holidays and clean out desks/lockers.

Thanks for a great year in 2023 and we wish all families a wonderful and joyous holiday season with family and friends! Friday Dec 22nd is our last day with students and we will see you in the New Year on January 8th, 2024. Wishing you all the best of health, happiness and prosperity in 2024!
