Happy family day weekend!

Good afternoon Rockwood families,
We had a wonderful Move-a-thon on Wednesday and we raised $5,476.58 as a school which is beyond our goal! Thank you parents and families for your continued support of our fundraisers! The students had a great time moving and grooving to the music! A special thank you to Sam McIntosh for helping with this event and the parent helpers-Karen McHugh, Erin Martin, Jenn Tulloch and Becky Storey! We also announced the winners of the bikes and Storm tickets!
Congratulations to our boys and girls basketball teams on their successful tournaments yesterday! The girls finished in 1st place and the boys team were the top team and went into finals with a tie so will be having another playoff game. Date to be determined soon. Our teams showed great skill, participation and sportsmanship! Way to go Rockwood! Thank you to Coach Agro and Coach Shirton-Smith for their help, time and dedication to coaching.
PA Day moved to Monday April 8th: Due to the solar eclipse on Friday, April 19, 2024, the school board has made the decision to move the PA Day originally scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024, to Monday, April 8, 2024. We are making this adjustment due to the fact that the solar eclipse is set to occur during school dismissal, when students will not have full supervision and will be travelling home. This decision is being made by the Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board, and is in line with similar changes announced by other school boards.
A reminder that every Wednesday, we will have a bake sale with items ranging from $1.50-$2 and popcorn $2 for sale. This is to support the grade 8 fundraiser. Please send in money with your child if interested in participating!!
