BEADS NEEDED for KINDNESS CLUB
The RRM Kindness Club wants to create a special project for the students in the school and will need a lot of beads and string. If you happen to have any spare letter or pony beads, or thin beading string laying around your house, please consider donating it to the Kindness Club for our project. The goal of the Kindness Club is to spread kindness and make others smile, and that’s what we intend to do with our project…so please consider donating any spare beads or string to our club 🙂
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR UPDATE:
Our Book Fair has begun! We welcomed Author Beth Becker in this morning to speak with our grade 1-3 students about the process of writing a book!
- Students will be bringing home their Book Fair Wish Lists today and tomorrow
- Please do not feel obligated to buy items listed
- If you wish to purchase items from the Wish List you can send in Cash or a Cheque made out to Ross R MacKay PS
- The Book Fair will be open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after school from 3:00pm to 4:00pm if parents wish to purchase items
- Unfortunately, all payments have to be in cash or by cheque
March is Bangladeshi Heritage Month in Ontario:
The month of March is an important one for the Bangladeshi community. Every year on March 26th, Bangladeshis around the world celebrate Independence Day. This day is often marked with music, parades, fairs, and various other public and private gatherings.By proclaiming the month of March as Bangladeshi Heritage Month in Ontario, the province honours the many significant contributions Bangladeshi Canadians have made throughout the province, and highlights their important role in strengthening the multi-cultural fabric that keeps Ontario’s communities strong.
March 8 is International Women’s Day
It is a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done.
March Break – Mar 11-15
This Friday, March 8th is the last day of school before March Break. We wish all of our families a happy March Break and look forward to seeing our students again on Monday, March 18th.
