School closures: Information for UGDSB families regarding COVID-19
The province has ordered all publicly funded schools in Ontario to close for two weeks following March Break, in response to the emergence in Ontario of COVID-19. As a result, Upper Grand DSB schools will be closed from March 14 to April 5, 2020.

With March Break approaching, many families and staff have questions about international travel and precautions required upon returning from travel. A letter with travel advice from Public Health is posted on the UGDSB website.

Orders for the next term go on sale this Thursday. Please take a moment to place your order through School Cash Online. Last day to order will be March 27th, 2020.
Scent Sensitivity
At Salem PS, we have both staff and students who experience physical symptoms when exposed to perfumes or scents. Please do not send your child to school with scented products. We are especially noticing a lot of scented hand sanitizers. Please avoid wearing perfumed products when visiting the school. Thank you for being considerate.
Mother’s Pantry
Coming home soon, the Mother’s Pantry fundraiser. Funds raised will go towards supporting the end of the year school trip and/or student activities and resources. Forms will be coming home March 11 and need to be returned to school on March 25th. Thanks for all you do to support the school!
