-Gr 8 Information Night Feb. 6th @ 7 pm Centennial CVI
Grade 8 students and their parents are invited to learn more about the great opportunities Upper Grand high schools have to offer – from academics and trades to sports, music and the arts. Most parent information nights include a special presentation about the high school, its programs and the registration process. Both parents and their teenaged children can also tour the school and ask the principal and teachers more about programs and other opportunities.

-The next school council meeting is Tuesday Feb. 18th.

-Equity and Inclusion: Let’s celebrate and/or acknowledge customs, traditions and days of significance from all around the world! If you have a suggestion or idea, please contact your child’s teacher, Mr.Guyitt or Mr Walker. If you are willing to come in and share ideas with us, we would love to hear from you.

– PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD’s IMMUNIZATIONS ARE UP TO DATE AND RECORDED WITH PUBLIC HEALTH. Immunizations are tracked by the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health department. If you have received a letter, have questions or require an update on the current status of your families’ immunizations please go the website https://www.wdgpublichealth.ca/healthcare-providers/vaccines-immunization for more information.

– Cell phone use: Parents please encourage your child to talk to a teacher or the office first if they are sick, hurt or in need of something during the school day. We have many parents coming to the office to pick up their child and we are unaware that the child has contacted their parents. This is a safety concern and we would like to help. Thank you in advance for having a conversation with your children about this important reminder.

-For our full calendar and up to date information from the school, school board and connected community organizations, visit our website:https://www.ugdsb.ca/sibps/ and make sure you are signed up for the UG CONNECTS app for all important school and school board websites in one spot

Have a great week!
