SIB passed all lead testing in drinking water

The Upper Grand District School Board has been testing for lead in school drinking water since 2007. New provincial testing requirements came into effect July 2017, which increase the amount of sampling that is required. The Ontario drinking water quality standard for lead is 10 micrograms per litre. This …

SIB – Potential labour action

On Monday October 7, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents custodial and maintenance staff in our school, has said they will go on a province-wide legal strike. There is a possibility that the union will reach a deal in negotiations this weekend.

A new Mud Kitchen for the Kindergarten Area

Some very caring and thoughtful intermediate students under the guidance of Mr. Rane created an amazing mud kitchen for our kindergarten students to use. We really appreciate what these students did and it shows how much the SIB students care for other. Thanks!
