Welcome back message from the SIB Principal
Hi SIB families,
We are all excited about the return to school for the remainder of our students starting either tomorrow, Thursday September 10th (For students with the last name starting with A-L) or Friday September 11th (Last names M-Z).
I am encouraging all families to continue to check the school’s website at www.ugdsb.ca/sibps/ for updates and to read our full back to school plans. This website includes important information about Before School arrival, After School departure and busing. As well, there are important changes to the Kiss’N’Drive option at our school that must be honoured to ensure we all stay safe in this time of COVID.
It is clear that this year will be completely different than any other year at SIB. Our top goals at SIB are to keep people safe and to help students learn. This will take a full team effort between students, families and staff. Working together using the policies and procedures set out by the school board and public health will be the best way to ensure everyone is safe and supported. Thank you in advance for helping us keep everyone safe in these unique times.
For those students participating in Distance Learning Online your teachers will be contacting you this week with full details.
Please, be sure to tell family and friends who have children attending SIB to keep checking the website. We will update everyone as soon as new information is available and we look forward to getting school started!
