Masks, Kiss’N’Drive, Late Students & Forms
Dear SIB families,
A giant thank you to all SIB students, parents and family members for making the first few days back at school a huge success. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful group of students and their families at this school working together to make things as safe as possible for everyone.
This email is just a couple requests/reminders to help keep things as safe as possible for everyone at SIB.
#1 Masks, timing and social distancing on the tarmac: To help with social distancing protocols before and after school, we are asking that all students and parents/guardians please wear a mask when they enter the school grounds (tarmac area at the back of the school). We also encourage students to not arrive on the school grounds before 8:35am to help avoid unorganized large groupings. Parents/guardians we also need your help to please keep reminding your children about the importance of social distancing. Once we are at full student attendance we will have many people in this area and this will help protect everyone.
#2 KISS’N’DRIVE Reminder: Due to COVID-19 and general safety guidelines, parents will not be allowed to get out of their cars at the KISS’N’DRIVE location. Therefore, only children who can handle their own seatbelts and can open/close the car doors independently can use the KISS’N’Drive. If your child cannot do this independently, parents must park their cards on one of the many side streets around the school and walk their children to and from school.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation as this will support the safety of our students.
#3 Late Students: If your child is late to school, please remind them they must enter through the front doors of the school so that they can be properly accounted for.
#4 Forms to be returned to school: All students should have brought home a package of forms for parents to read. The following forms need to be updated/signed and returned to school by September 18th, 2020:
- Student Verification V22 (White)
- Consent to Share Personal Information (Green)
- Educational Field Trips Parental Information/Consent Form (Blue)
Thank you for your help in getting the forms back to school in a timely manner.
