Kindness Campaign
Dear parents/guardians,
The school board is launching a social media campaign promoting a culture of kindness and positivity online and on social media.
On Wednesday Nov. 20, during Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week, the Kindness Campaign will launch on social media. You can follow along by following our school, @ugdsb and the hashtags #IncreaseKindness and #UGKindness.
Our school is excited to join in and we’ll be sharing ways that we promote positive online behaviour, practice digital citizenship, and spread kindness. Parents are welcome to join in too! For example, parents could share examples of how they model good behaviour for their kids online or conversations they have with their kids about being kind online.
If you would like to join in on Nov. 20 please use the #IncreaseKindness and #UGKindness hashtags to promote the use of social media as a force for good and spreading kindness. We’ll continue to use the hashtags throughout the school year to keep the kindness going.
Please note that participation in this initiative is completely optional.
