June 21, 2021

Dear Victory Families,

We are very excited to announce that Victory P.S. students will be given a chance to briefly connect with their teachers at the end of our school year.  This will occur on June 29th during the school day. During this time, students are asked to bring their chromebook, library books, home reading books, patrol vests and any other borrowed items. Teachers will distribute any items left behind prior to going to remote learning. All students are to be accompanied by an adult. If your child has medication at the school, this will be distributed at this time (An adult must be present to receive the medication). Please see the schedule below for your time to connect. Teachers will be providing asynchronous work and/or paper copies of work for students to complete on June 29th. Therefore, students will not be meeting synchronously (Google meets with teachers) on June 29th.

Remote Learning Students:

All Victory Remote Learning students are required to return their chromebooks to the front door between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm on June 29th, even if the student is planning on participating in remote learning next school year. A reminder that all students must be accompanied by an adult. Chromebooks will be updated and repaired (if needed) over the summer.

Ontario School Screening and Covid Protocols:

All students and family members who attend MUST complete the Ontario School Screening prior to entering school grounds. This will be verified by teachers when you arrive. If anyone receives the red “Do NOT go to School” result from the Ontario School Screening, neither you nor any family members are to attend the school/site or enter the property.

Click here to complete the Ontario School Screening

If you are unable to come to the school, please make arrangements with a friend/neighbour to return any items borrowed (chromebooks, library books, home reading books, patrol vests etc.) and have your child’s items (medications, items left behind, etc.) picked up. Please email/call your child’s teacher to make them aware of the arrangement made.

While on school property, all students and family members must:

  • Verify they completed the screening and passed
  • Keep 2 m apart from anyone who does not live in your household
  • Wear a mask at all times
  • Sanitize prior to connecting with your teacher. Sanitizer will be provided at all school meeting areas.

Note:  Please note that if it rains, we will continue with this same plan. Students and adults may want to bring umbrellas.  Let’s cross our fingers that it won’t rain!

Connecting With Home Room Teacher Schedule

  • Please understand that this time is meant for a brief connection with your child’s classroom teacher. We are politely asking that students and families DO NOT stay to visit with other families or stay to play in the yard. The school playground, climbers, and fields are all closed until after school hours. It is very important that we continue to respect COVID-19 rules and restrictions provided by Public Health. Thank you for continuing to do your part in keeping everyone healthy and safe.
