CHES Virtual Book Fair

Dear families and friends,

We wanted to share some exciting news about an upcoming virtual experience.  We will be holding a Scholastic Virtual Book Fair starting today!

Our Virtual Book Fair will run from November 15-28th.  You will be able to access our online book shop via the link below to place your order starting Monday.  You will be able to shop from the comfort of your own home and all purchases will be shipped to the school.  This means that there are no shipping fees and no minimums to spend.  This is a great option for any upcoming holiday, birthday or event shopping you may have.

Once the book(s) arrive, the package will be sent home with your child.  If your book purchase is meant to be a gift, please contact me and we can arrange pick up at the school instead of the package being sent home with your child.

Our school will receive 20% of all book sales that we will be able to use to add new books to our school library.  You will be able to see how your purchase will contribute to our school as you complete your transaction.

So, if you are interested in placing an order, please click this link to start your shopping.

UGDSB Ventilation Report

The UGDSB is continuing its work optimizing air quality in classrooms and learning environments through improving ventilation and filtration. Upgrades to ventilation and filtration systems began in the 2020-21 school year and will continue for the 2021-22 school year.

The UGDSB has received funding from the Provincial Government and Federal Government to allow the board to continue its work in optimizing ventilation and air quality in UGDSB schools and meet the provincial requirements for ventilation measures in schools. The UGDSB is also making investments in schools to go above and beyond the provincial requirements, as another layer of the protective strategies the board is utilizing to keep UGDSB learning and working spaces safe for students and staff.
