Return of Items to Families: An Aberfoyle Plan
Hello everyone;
Many parents have been inquiring about when and how they would be able to retrieve their children’s belongings. We now have a plan. Thank you for your patience!
This week staff are scheduled to sort through their students’ belongings, bag and label them. While doing this, they are observing social distancing protocols and wearing protective equipment as they require.
The next stage is for you to pick up items. To do this in a safe and efficient manner, we are inviting you to come in the time frame allotted to your position in the alphabet.
When you arrive, please do the following:
- Please bring any library books or textbooks you have at home. There will be a bin for you to deposit them. Thanks!
- Line up at the front door, staying 2 metres behind the person in from of you. There will be a staff member there to greet you. Some cones will be positioned to help you with spacing.
- Please also do a self-check for COVID-19. I have attached to this email the steps as determined by Public Health.
- When you arrive at the table, please identify yourself, give the name(s) of your child(ren), grades and teachers.
- Staff members will retrieve your items, give them to you and check your name off of our lists. Please remain outside.
- If, however, you are arriving with a grade 7 or 8 to empty a locker, please inform a staff member of this. They will give you a bag, escort you and your child to the locker where you will have the pleasure of sorting. A child may not enter without parent accompaniment. Please wear gloves for this task. Afterwards, please leave by the same door you entered.
Below is the schedule of days and times to pick up items:
MONDAY, JUNE 1
9:00 – 11:00: Families whose children’s last names begin with A to E
11:00 – 1:00: Families whose children’s last names begin with F to J
1:00 – 3:00: Families whose children’s last names begin with K to O
TUESDAY, JUNE 2
9:00 – 11:00: Families whose children’s last names begin with P to T
11:00 – 1:00: Families whose children’s last names begin with U to Z
For those of you who have borrowed technology from the school to assist in your children’s learning, there will be an opportunity later to return these. At this point we are focused solely upon returning your belongings to you.
