Help Us Make a Difference for Families in Need this Christmas

Dear Aberfoyle Families,

Next week our school will be collecting canned and dry goods, toiletries and baby necessities to donate to the Guelph Food Bank. Our donations will help provide for families in need this Christmas.

Please give what you can. One grocery bag of food can provide as many as 11 meals. Every single donation helps, and together we hope our combined donations will make a real difference for those in need. The food bank is asking for nutritious canned and dry goods. Here are some suggestions:

·         Canned Meats – Tuna/Salmon/Ham/Chicken

·         Peanut Butter, Cheese Spread

·         Canned Fruit, Canned Vegetables

·         Stew & Soups, Meal Helper

·         Canned Tomatoes, Pasta Sauce

·         Cereal, Dry Pasta, Rice

·         Juices, Coffee, Tea

 ·         Adult & Children’s Toiletries,

·         Baby Formula, Baby Foods,

·         Girls & Boys Diapers Size 5 & 6.

·         Special Diet Foods:

o    Diabetic Products,

o    Low Salt/Wheat Free Products,

o    Boost or Ensure

Donations will be collected each day at the school from December 6th to December 10th. Your child/ren can bring them to their homeroom teachers. No cash please, although gift cards for necessities (groceries, gas, etc) can be distributed to families in need.
