Updates For November 11-18, 2022

Posted November 18, 2022

Hello Alma Families!  Here are the 5 things you need to know today to keep up to date this week:

  1. Report cards are available online now and instructions were emailed to set up interviews.  As always, if you need technical help, please contact the office.  Thanks to families that are sending home the paper comment page as you get the chance.

  1. As you may have heard, negotiations are ongoing with CUPE workers and the province.  As these situations are ever changing, the most up to date information can be found at: https://www.ugdsb.ca/board/labour-updates-2022-23/.

  1. Our Board plans currently are to have in-person learning on Monday through Wednesday next week and shift to remote learning if need be on Thursday as we are a school that has CUPE employees.  If that shift to remote learning happens, parent teacher interviews will shift to being on a Google Meet just like last year.  If that shift is required, information on accessing those meetings will be shared next week.

  1. If there is a need to shift to remote learning, school Chromebooks will be made available to families in need.  Stay tuned next week for information on requesting one if this is necessary.

  1. Please remember that next Friday, November 25, is a PA Day.  This day is set aside for Parent-Teacher Interviews and these will continue either in person or in an online version if a shift is required.

Thanks as always for your continued support.  If there’s anything the school can do to help, please let us know.  We’re here to help!

Take care,

Jason Boyce
