Updates For March 3-10, 2023

Posted March 9, 2023

Hello Alma Families!  Here are the 6 things you need to know today to keep up to date this week:

  1. Our meat order fundraiser pickup is today!  Items will be sorted and available for pickup under the overhang near the dumpsters at 3:30 PM today.  Thanks to our School Council volunteers for helping with this.  Pickup is during bus time, so please park on the road safely and walk in to avoid busses.  After busses have left, feel free to use the empty parking spots if available.  Items will be available for pickup until 5:30 PM.

  1. Please remember that March Break will be running from March 13-17 this year.  We look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday, March 20, 2023.

  1. Pizza orders for our final order will be live on School Cash Online from March 9-30.  This will provide pizza delivery from April 4-June 20, 2023.  Please remember that if there is a no bus day, pizza will hopefully be rescheduled.  If your child is absent on a pizza day, please inform the school office and we can share it with a sibling if applicable.  Otherwise, it will be considered a donation to the school.  You can place your order at https://ugdsb.schoolcashonline.com/.

  1. The Wellness Works theme across the UGDSB this month is kindness.  Please make sure you check out the resource in your email for some great ideas to think about at home.

  1. Thank you for the donations to our Live Free fundraiser for the Food and Friends nutrition program.  We were able to raise $245 to help support our school’s program and help to bring healthy food to hungry minds.

  1. The Alma Optimists are hosting a community game night at the Alma Community Centre on Friday, March 10 from 6:00-9:00 PM.  Feel free to bring some games and they will have some there as well.  The Alma Optimist Club will have some snacks and drinks available.  This is a family event for parents and kids so please feel free to join!

Thanks as always for your continued support.  If there’s anything the school can do to help, please let us know.  We’re here to help!

Take care,
