Updates For May 22-26, 2023
Hello Alma Families! Here are 3 things for you that are key to know for this week and next:
- Please remember that next Friday, June 2 is our next PA Day and there will be no school. Staff will be working on literacy and other professional activities and working on report cards in the afternoon.
- We are still looking for a few more volunteers for the Alma Optimist Bike Rodeo which will be held on June 15th with a rain date of June 16th. The organizers of the event are looking for 6 volunteers who could volunteer from 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM. If you are interested in volunteering at this event, please contact the school office and we can ensure that you have the appropriate paperwork completed.
- In the UGDSB we are working diligently towards being a safe, equitable and inclusive environment for all. Every child deserves to feel safe, known, heard and that they belong. One group which has not always felt this way is the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Across the UGDSB, during the month of June, the pride flag will be flown at board offices and schools, including Alma PS.
