- It can take 50 blood donors to save one person in a car accident, 8 blood donors a week to support someone going through leukemia treatment, and 2 blood donors to support someone having brain surgery. The need for blood is constant and it never takes a break. That is why we are asking you to donate blood from November 3rd-7th at the Guelph Donor Centre. The centre is located at 130 Silvercreek Pkwy N and has varying hours to suit your schedule. Most of these blood donations will be used to help local patients within five days. You never know who you could be helping – a friend, a family member, or neighbour. Please contact www.blood.ca to check eligibility and book your appointment to donate!
