Mental Health Mondays – Did you know working on a puzzle reinforces connections between brain cells, improves mental speed, and is an effective way to improve short-term memory? Puzzles increase the production of dopamine, a chemical that regulates mood, memory, and concentration. Dopamine is released with every success as we solve the puzzle! Ask your homeroom teacher for a puzzle today!
Transgender Day of Remembrance – On November 20, we remember and honour two-spirit, trans and non-binary people who have faced violence around the world because of hatred and oppression. Be your true self Huskies – we have your back!
Bullying Awareness & Prevention Week – This week is our schools Bully Prevention and Awareness Week. There will be some lunchtime activities on Tuesday, a pink day on Wednesday, and a spirit day on Thursday. Bullying is something that effects us all – so let’s remember our actions CAN make a difference and “Strong kids don’t put others down, they lift them up”. Have a great week CHSS!
